I'm very outgoing and outspoken. I love to be around people; laughter is one of my favorite pastimes. I typically choose to go out somewhere, but I can be equally happy at home cuddling, watching a movie, reading, talking, etc. I'll try just about anything once - that includes food and activities. My role models in life have been the greats. When it comes to film, Alfred Hitchcock and Charlie Chaplin always have the best eyes and the best stories. As a kid, I'd repeatedly watch Marx Brothers movies as Groucho's wise ass schtick was always an inspiration to the fellow I turned out to be now. I'm a good guy, not a goody-two-shoes, but a good guy nevertheless. I'm creative, sometimes on cloud 9, but always cautious about it.

Things I enjoy would be making music, especially on guitar and on harmonica. I've been playing guitar for a little over a year now and harmonica over 5. I also enjoy watching classic films, modern films, somewhere in between time films, and just films that have a good story (sorry Michael Bay). You know what I think is getting old? What do you do? People always rant and rave about their high paying jobs, toot their horns about working in corporate America and owning lots of materialistic stuff.

So, just to get it out of the way, I'm a social worker. I'm finishing up grad school in May. It's what I spend most of my time doing. For my full time job, I work for an agency specifically for developmentally disabled adults with mental illness. For internship, I work with children and adolescents with behavioral and psychiatric problems. I love it and am extremely passionate about my work. I can't imagine doing anything else.

Other than that, I find joy in other activities as working out, walking aimlessly, netflixing obscure foreign films, drinking coffee and spending the night chatting away with friends, board games even though I'm not very competitive, daydreaming about my next vacation, reading novels or comedic essays by David Sedaris.

Completely unrelated, one of my pet peeves is when people describe themselves as funny. If you describe yourself as funny, you're probably not. I can tell you I'm slightly neurotic. I only like even numbers and it bothers me when people litter. What is the big deal with waiting until you find the nearest trash can. They're usually everywhere!

I've wanted to be a writer since I was ten years old. I used to start novels which I never finished. I wish I still had copies of those stories. Now I'm only left with the memories. One of these days I will write a novel or memoir. You wait and see. I was quite creative as a child because my cousins and I also wrote and choreographed love pop songs at the age of nine. Thought I might try something new. I am a single father, with a wonderful 5 year old son named Ryan. I'm the son of a man. I have a white hot wit, very....ummm sarcastic. I have a Virginia twang that sounds really sexy, Northern Virginia, kind of like a Richmond accent. I mean, look at me, I'd do me. Lately, I've been working two jobs, not out of dire necessity, but because I feel like I haven't lived up to my potential for the last five years. And I've suddenly become about how far I can stretch myself. Its a strange thing life, I used to play it safe with life. But for the past year or so, I've been taking risks and sacrifices in everything. I don't know how to explain it. Maybe it's hitting my 30's, maybe I've found some ambition I didn't know I had. But suddenly I just feel really ambitious. I feel like life just clicked into place and I know what to do with myself.

I like going dancing, Salsa, Merengue, can get around Bachata, but I don't do it enough. also hip-hop dancing, is that considered a dance? The Sponge Bob? My kids in school teach me all of the newest dances and I love it. Great restaurants (Ruby Tuesdays doesn't count), I've been enjoying Middle Eastern lately, but I love Portuguese and Brazilian food, I can eat febras every day for lunch and a bitoc for breakfast and Rodizio for dinner every day for the rest of my life. I really don't have time to lay back like I used to and sometimes I miss that. But I figure, I'll have time for that someday in the near future and I'll appreciate it much, much more when I do. Good barbeque, good beer, good friends is what I'm all about, but at the same time I'm an ambitious, hard worker.

I guess I'm complicated, but simple. A lot of times, I have a hard time saying what I feel because it just feels so big and words just don't do it all.
